Accessibility Statement

SALVARO GROUP LLC wants everyone to be able to use salvaroshop.com, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, or a magnified display. This statement says where we are and what to do if you hit a barrier.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance and it is the one we measure ourselves against.

What we have done

  • Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is visible at all times.
  • Every product photograph has descriptive alternative text naming the item, not just the file name.
  • Headings are used in order, so a screen reader can navigate a page by structure.
  • Body text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background, and large headings at least 3 to 1.
  • Text resizes to 200 percent without content being cut off or overlapping.
  • Form fields have real labels, and errors are described in words rather than by colour alone.
  • Product specifications are in real data tables with row headers, so they can be read cell by cell.
  • Skip links let you jump straight to the navigation or the main content.
  • Nothing on the site flashes, autoplays audio, or moves without you asking it to.

Where we fall short

We would rather tell you than have you find out. As of September 18, 2026:

  • The checkout is provided by our payment processor. We have tested it with a screen reader and it works, but we do not control its markup and cannot guarantee it against every assistive technology.
  • A small number of older product photographs have alternative text that describes the item but not the angle of the shot. We are rewriting these.
  • The product image zoom on desktop is operated by pointer. The same detail is available in the full size images, which are keyboard reachable.

If you cannot place an order on the site for any reason, call us and we will take the order over the telephone at the same prices, with the same free shipping and the same returns policy.

How we test

We test each new page with a keyboard alone, with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and with NVDA on Windows, and we run an automated contrast and markup check before publishing. Automated checks find perhaps a third of real problems, which is why we also do the manual pass.
